Just like as seasons come and go, as summer turns to autumn, we must persevere to strive no matter the place and the shadows around.

Bowler Dies After Rolling Perfect Game.
A 62-year old Michigan bowler achieved his lifelong dream of rolling a perfect 300 game, then collapsed and died. Apparently, he suffered a heart attack, and his teammates believed the pressure of bowling 12 straight strikes was just too much for his heart.
Poor guy. Talk about he’d just reached his peak.
No, it’s not the NBA Fantasy League, that teams/people are sliding back and forth.

Citic Pacific Ltd., the unit of China’s biggest state-owned investment company, tumbled the most in 18 years in Hong Kong trading after predicting HK$15.5 billion ($2 billion) in losses from unauthorized currency bets.
Note the use of the term “bets” instead of “hedging”. I hope they’re not deemed interchangeable.
World chess chammpionship 2008 Round 6: Anand wins again, score now 4.5:1.5. He’s now two points behind to retaining the title – i.e., 4 draws. I would have expected Kramnik to at least win a game from this match, but from how it’s going–nevermind.
Continuing with the celebration of the University of the Philippines’ 100-year anniversary, an article about the UP System appeared in the Manila Bulletin (MB).
The article actually “used” to be available online, and I should have linked to that instead. But for some unknown reasons, MB doesn’t keep its articles online for quite a long period of time. I’m reposting the article here in its entirety. For any problem/issues with this act, please do leave a comment below and I’ll gladly drop this article. After all, I just deem it worth sharing:
Due to insistent public demand, I changed the layout of the current Deuts.NET theme to be more “user-friendly” (as one of my critics pointed out). It has always been my wish to push forward my content instead of just some ads. Anyway, so much for those distracting advertisements, you will see less and less ads in the coming days as we push the design and the site itself into its full potential. I hope to hear from everyone how the new layout helped the design and the whole usability of the site.
Saw this ad posted in the rest room of Music 21 when I last visited the place. Anyway, just let the poster speak for itself.

I created two NBA Fantasy Leagues, one in Yahoo! Sports, and another in NBA.com.

If you are interested to join my leagues, kindly drop me a message below so I can invite you to the tournament. A lot of slots are still available. The more the merrier, as they used to say.
It has been a gruelling experience. Deuts.NET even has been down for sometimes.
I hate that Hotlink Protection feature in Bluehost’s cpanel. It almost drove me crazy figuring out how can I salvage all my posts and files in the webserver.
I just hope everything’s fine now. If someone finds irregularities and bugs, please help me and bring them to my attention immediately.
