The Celtics Up for the Challenge?
At the rate at which the current Boston Celtics is going (29-3, or 90.6% winning percentage), it is very much likely that it will beat Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls record of 72-10 (72 wins and 10 losses, 87.8% winning percentage) in 95-96 season.
Let’s start out a discussion. Have the Celtics been that good with their three superstars in the person of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett?
How would you compare the Allen-Pierce-Garnett trio vs. Jordan-Pippen-Rodman(?)? Can the Boston Celtics live up to the fans’ expectations? If ever the Celtics could pull down the Bulls’ record, can they be able to successfully snatch the crown from powerhouse Spurs?

Grandmasters Eugene Torre and Joey Antonio renew their rivalry and will be staging a 12-round showdown in the summer of 2008. The match will be for two reasons: to promote chess in the countryside and prepare themselves for the biggest battleground of the sport–the Chess Olympiad.

Backup and Restore Firefox and Thunderbird
This is one great tool that can make a backup and restore all your firefox settings and thunderbird mails, passwords and other settings on the fly. I have not tried it yet, as I still plan to do a reformat of my laptop, but I do hope this works.
Wedding Photography: Take One
I attended a friend’s wedding the other night. The wedding started at 4pm and extended until the evening in Fernwood Gardens in Sanville Subdivision, Quezon City.
This photographic opportunity proved the fact that I was yet indeed an amateur when it comes to photography, especially wedding photography. I guess it was a hard lesson learned for me as I forgot to bump up the ISO to well at least 800 as darkness crept into that night. The ISO settings in my camera was pegged at 100 until I realized my grave mistake, and with a telephoto lens of 85mm, I came up with lots of blurry images due to camera shake. At the end of the day, at least I learned one.
World’s Youngest GM
Wesley So of the Philippines is currently the world’s youngest GM at the age of 14. He’s seventh youngest player to achieve the grandmaster status in chess.
