Rich Dad Poor Dad – from overrated to trash

After reading the book (or rather, listening to the audiobook) of Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, I thought it was overrated. After listening to the If Books Could Kill podcast episode about it, I realized it was a total piece of trash.

From promoting illegal investment and business activities, to selling MLM or Ponzi scheme products, people should already stop quoting passages from this book. Forget about assets and liabilities, or shaping people’s mindset about it, other than those taught in accounting classes.

We need 3D Touch capability in Downcast app too

Now that the Castro podcast app has gone free, I was able to take it for a spin, and I was impressed by its 3D Touch capability, so that you can instantaneously launch and play your favorite podcast channel (or playlist, perhaps?) straight from the home screen.

3D Touch for Castro podcast app in action

Thus, I’m contemplating of switching to this app instead of my go-to app for podcasts — Downcast. So, here’s a challenge to the developers of Downcast — update your app to integrate 3D Touch, and you can keep me as your loyal user/customer/endorser.

GeekyNights on iTunes

GeekyNights is a great podcast/vidcast about all things tech, gadgetry and other geekiness.

The problem is that their uploads to iTunes is so late their videos have become so irrelevant if you follow it from there.

Tech is a fast-paced game that if your latest update is about the release of the recent gadgets that were actually released 3-4 weeks ago, then what you have there is history already.

And you don’t actually expect us to catch your live broadcasts every time, right? And yeah, I can just watch the latest videos from UStream, but then the resolution is bad and I can’t play it on my TV.
