Bitwarden Keyboard Shortcuts on Google Chrome

If you’re a Bitwarden fan, learning and using its keyboard shortcuts would help you better navigate and log in to your favorite websites. By default, here are the keyboard shortcuts related to your Bitwarden Google Chrome extension:

  • Activate the extension: Ctrl + Shift + Y
  • Auto-fill the last used login for the current website: Ctrl + Shift + L
  • Generate and copy a new random password to the clipboard:
    Ctrl + Shift + 9

Of course, you can change Ctrl for Cmd if you’re using a Mac.

To change the keyboard shortcuts, just go to: chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

  1. Nice to see a fellow Bitwarden user. Those keyboard shortcuts are nifty timesavers.

    My browser of choice is Microsoft Edge and since it’s based on Chromium, the shortcuts are the same.

    Yes, I know, right? 16 years and counting, although recently a lot of them are some rants about products and services. Although I try to write some informative articles once in a while that I think will help others if they encounter the same problem.

    • Really? What a coincidence. I’ve had my domain for 16 years now as well.

      I’ve neglected my blog for the past few years. I’m trying to revive it and post more updates.

      I’m thinking the same thing, posting informative articles aside from the occasional product reviews.
