I was greeted by the above reminder when I opened Facebook today. Apparently, Facebook is concerned about our security. What with the reports of cases of user account hacking, some even compromise the personal reputation of the affected individuals.
Yet, I wonder, where’s the two-factor authentication option for Facebook? Reminder is good, but you have to give users the option to hack-proof their account.I urge they emulate the security features offered by major internet players with their 2-step verification.
Currently, I’m using the Google Authenticator app on my iPhone (on top of my unique passwords) to secure my important accounts with the following online services:
- WordPress
- Tumblr
- Dropbox
- Evernote
