Together with the release of the NBA 2K12 for PS3 and other consoles, 2K Sports will also be releasing the NBA 2K12 game app for iOS devices like the iPod, iPhone and iPad.
CNET’s Tap That App is all praises for this app:
I’ve purchased and played with EA’s NBA Elite app, and just as in the PS3 console, I’m pretty sure 2K will beat EA anytime of the day — especially when it comes to gameplay quality.
Come October 4, 2011, the app will be available at the Apple iTunes App Store at $9.99 for the iPad and $4.99 for the iPhone / iPod Touch. Sadly, it does not come as a universal app.
One thing that wasn’t mentioned in the press releases was about multiplayer mode. Thus, I expect it will not be available in the first release. Hopefully, though, in future updates we can have the ability to play against other (human) players using another iOS device over bluetooth or wifi.
Aside: Where’s an NBA 2K12 app for BlackBerry? (Sarcasm! LOL!)
Moreover, I do hope this app will be available in Android as well, so that @RXTLN can download the same and have the opportunity to practice from his Samsung Galaxy S, so that when we face each other next time in front of the PS3, he’ll find no more alibi for being always the loser. (Another Sarcasm! LOL)
