Professional photographers would agree that they like shooting outdoors after the rain. For one, the wet roads and pavements add saturation to the background.
Metaphorically speaking, the rain symbolizes a blessing (oops, but not the typhoon!), and it brings cold air to the naturally hot place like Makati.
You sure already have that firstname.lastname@example.org Yahoo! email account, but that username is not really what you always wanted, because it was already taken when you signed up for your first Yahoo! account. You don’t want numbers like your birthday or combinations of your favorite numbers populating your email account either.
Now, this is your chance to grab that favorite username of yours. Yahoo! is offering two more domain names to associate with your user account, ymail and rocketmail. Same Yahoo! Mail technology, same inbox look, same storage space and spam protection. You can have that email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org, and transfer all your contacts from your previous Yahoo! account.
Time for more photography.
I was on a solo photowalking today and sneaked this photo while I was in Greenbelt 5 in Ayala Center. Was waiting for the guards to turn their back on me and whipped out my camera, and here you go…
The Hour of Twilight
by George William Russell
WHEN the unquiet hours depart
And far away their tumults cease,
Within the twilight of the heart
We bathe in peace, are stilled with peace.
The fire that slew us through the day
For angry deed or sin of sense
Now is the star and homeward ray
To us who bow in penitence.
We kiss the lips of bygone pain
And find a secret sweet in them:
The thorns once dripped with shadowy rain
Are bright upon each diadem.
Ceases the old pathetic strife,
The struggle with the scarlet sin:
The mad enchanted laugh of life
Tempts not the soul that sees within.
No riotous and fairy song
Allures the prodigals who bow
Within the home of law, and throng
Before the mystic Father now,
Where faces of the elder years,
High souls absolved from grief and sin,
Leaning from out ancestral spheres
Beckon the wounded spirit in.

The Road Not Taken
by Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I–
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Oftentimes in our lives we were confronted with two roads ahead of us, but did we really make the wise decisions?

I initially wagered for a Celtics-Spurs NBA Finals. But unfortunately the other day, the Lakers beat the Spurs to advance to the 2008 NBA Finals. Eventually, my reason for looking forward to an exciting NBA Finals started to dwindle.
But today I realized the Finals won’t be that boring after all. On the contrary, this could be the most interesting NBA Finals since the turn of the century as the Boston Celtics and the LA Lakers relive their rivalry over the hardcourt.
