Your New Windows 8

Microsoft today demoed the UI of their next-generation operating system, Windows 8.

Personally, the UI is great. It’s so full of eye-candy. But if I’m after the eye-candy, I’d rather go with the Mac.

I want my Windows PC to be completely functional and provide me with the best value for my money. Imagine just how the system requirement for this OS be bumped up in terms of graphic cards, processor and RAM, because of this eye-candy — thus, the higher price for new PC’s to support the new OS.

I just need my favorite Windows programs to run — and run fast concurrently in my machine. So no thanks, Windows 8. Hello Windows XP!

P.S. A good read from Daring Fireball: Why Windows 8 Is Fundamentally Flawed as a Response to the iPad.
